Advertising & Affiliate Policy
No ads are live on this build. There are no affiliate links, sponsored entries, or paid “partners” in the log.
Reserved slots, not inventory
The page layout includes a reserved region in the CSS grid so that a future, disclosed advertising program would not require tearing up the masthead. That region is off by default and is not rendered while PUBLIC_ADS_ENABLED is false. An empty labeled box will not be shown to readers as if inventory were sold.
If advertising is ever enabled:
- it will be visually distinct from log entries and policy pages;
- it will not run next to a fact-check PASS as if the checker endorsed the advertiser;
- the ownership page will list the program;
- this page will name the networks or direct sales, and any affiliates.
What will not be sold
Log entries, fact-check outcomes, contradiction cards, and correction banners are not inventory. A donor cannot buy a PASS, a HOLD, or a silence.
Affiliates
There are no affiliate relationships at launch. If a tool, book, or archive service is ever linked with a tracking code, the link will be labeled and this page will say so. Unlabeled affiliate links are a policy violation, not a growth hack.
